Nothing is impossible.

  • Just a random conversation I had the other night...
  • Madison:
  • *thats how I'd like to go on about the universe and how if it's possible, anything you can think of is.
  • *the universe IS what we define as impossible, we just don't realize it. but it IS possible, and there is proof. it goes on forever. there is a forever, an infinity. most people will look first and see that it cant be, its just, well, impossible. but theres proof that there isnt. there isnt an end to the universe. and if there is, what's outside of it? huh? another world? is our universe just some crud under some guys fingernail? we're that miniscule compared to the rest of the universe, but my point is, if there is an end, there is something outside of it, and on, and on, and on. just like the package of dog food, with the package of the same dog food on it, etc, etc. or when you look in several mirrors and they form what looks like a neverending hallway.
  • Keely:
  • *exactly.
  • *we try to put limits on everything.
  • Madison:
  • *thats why I say nothining is impossible.
  • Keely:
  • *but, life goes on. the universe goes on. it all goes on, whether we believe it or not. it happens.
  • Madison:
  • *yeah. even if our world ends, if the entire human population dies, the universe will still be there.
  • *and whether more life comes along..who knows. we came along, surely more can come along.
  • Keely:
  • *humans do not keep the world alive. who knows what does, but it isnt us.
  • *another race may come after us.
  • *or it may not.
  • Madison:
  • *and out of all of that universe...we cant be the only living things out there.
  • Keely:
  • *we will never know.
  • *exactly.
  • *if it's so infinite, there has to be so much out there. oh so much.
  • Madison:
  • *just because there is no other life in our galaxy, or our solar system, and we have yet to find any more out there, doesn't mean that there isnt.
  • Keely:
  • *yess. and no one understands that. we're one galaxy in a million.
  • Madison:
  • *screw those scientists who say its impossible. they've found a planet with temperatures sustainable for humans to live in. whether theres life on it or not, who knows. there has to be. its just so far away that we cant see.
  • Keely:
  • *yeah. it's so immense, it would take centuries to fully understand whether or not there are life on other planets anywhere near us.
  • Madison:
  • *anywhere near us.. has almost been proven that there isnt. almost. they're too far away to tell. it doesnt have to be human, like us, just the simplest microorganism is life. and that's proof that there is life outside of earth. and it has to be out there somewhere.
  • Keely:
  • *yeah. life is life.
  • *there probably aren't "humans" on any other planets, there might be other things. they might be evolved like us, or perhaps even further evolved. or they may be a more primal type of creature. though i dont think the answer to any of these questions will be found in our lifetimes.
